Less than 48 hours from now, the Texas Longhorns will take the field at Darrell K Royal—Texas Memorial Stadium for the second Orange-White spring game of the Tom Herman era.
Not only does the April 21 event signify another step towards the start of the 2018 season, but it provides the masses with the first glimpse of the new-look Longhorns following winter conditioning and more than two dozen practices to improve upon a 7-6 2017 campaign. It also serves as the Texas will take the field in front of its fans until Sept. 1.
Will the spring game provide a picture-perfect product?
Unlikely, but at the very least, the burnt orange nation should be in for a fun, physical, and of course, competitive football game.
