The Longhorn Republic hopes Texas players improved their NFL Draft stock

With all 32 NFL teams in attendance, former players had a shot to improve their standing among the other prospects.

NCAA Football: Texas El Paso at Texas Erich Schlegel-USA TODAY Sports

In this week’s Longhorn Republic, Gerald Goodridge and Kyle Carpenter break down which Texas Longhorns players helped themselves big time at the annual Pro Day (2:35) last week and why teams should stop sleeping on defensive tackle Poona Ford.

Then they look at the next set of names that are exiting the Texas program, with Eric Davis, Jr. and Kerwin Roach II setting their eyes on the NBA, while James Banks explores the transfer market (13:12).

As always, they close the show honoring Big Bertha and they Bang the Drum (27:41). Kyle builds his excitement for all of the Longhorns playing in the 2018 Masters Golf Tournament, while Gerald fawns over John Burt’s speed.
