Less than a week after receiving a commitment from star wide receiver Jake Smith, tbe Texas Longhorns received some more good news, as four-star wide receiver Demariyon Houston announced that the Longhorns are in the mix of his final seven schools.

The 6’0, 165-pound receiver missed half of his junior campaign with the Millwood (Okla.) Falcons, but still managed to haul in 20 catches for 534 yards and seven touchdowns. He primarily played outside receiver for the Falcons, but also contributed on special teams as a returner.

Prior to his announcement, 247Sports.com was reporting one Crystal Ball predicting that the Oklahoma Sooners would land Houston, but the Sooners were left off of his final list.

A pledge from Smith would make him the third receiver in the 2019 Texas class, including Smith’s commitment and a commitment from No. 6-ranked receiver Jordan Whittington.
