Texas’ fourth-down play-calling was questionable in win over Kansas

Two drives and an eight minute period in the middle of the first half allowed the Jayhawks to stay in the game.

The No. 15 Texas Longhorns survived against the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday night, 50-48. Despite the close score, Texas was on pace to make a statement victory with about three minutes left in the first quarter, when the wheels came off. Two ill advised fourth down play-calls gave Kansas the ball with a short field, and Kansas capitalized, going on to capture a 17-14 advantage with ten minutes left in the half.
