After yet another underwhelming effort in a 37-27 road loss to the unranked TCU Horned Horned Frogs on Saturday afternoon, the Texas Longhorns have fallen entirely out of the latest AP Top 25.
Texas entered its contest with TCU ranked No. 15 for the second consecutive week.
After spending the entire season among the AP Top 25, the latest poll marks the first time that Texas has been unranked since Week 4 of the 2018 season. The Longhorns are currently listed as the first team outside of the Top 25 after receiving 49 votes.
The Amway Coaches Poll still lists the Longhorns among the top 25, with Texas sliding nine spots from No. 15 to No. 24.
With an especially rough stretch of football now in the rearview, which included two losses and a near-defeat to the Kansas Jayhawks, Texas will enjoy a much-needed bye week before getting back into action at home against the Kansas State Wildcats (5-2, 2-2), which are fresh off a massive home upset over the Oklahoma Sooners.
The official kickoff time and TV channel for Texas’ Nov. 9 meeting with K-State is yet to be set.
