Following a third straight win, the Longhorns only saw movement in one poll.

Even though the Texas Longhorns won for a third straight week, the 42-31 win over the West Virginia Mountaineers on Saturday in Morgantown wasn’t enough to move up in the AP Top 25 Poll, as the Penn State Nittany Lions moved ahead of the Horns, leaving Texas at No. 11.

The Amway Coaches Poll, however, the Longhorns did move up to No. 11..

Texas will now square off with the No. 5/6 Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday morning for the annual Red River Showdown.

Oklahoma will enter the matchup boasting a perfect 5-0 record, while the Longhorns are sitting at 4-1 with the lone blemish coming during Week 2 against then-No. 6 LSU. The Longhorns and Sooners are each 2-0 in league play, and not only will Saturday’s showdown have Big 12 Championship implications, but College Football Playoff aspirations may very well be on the line, as well.
