According to a report from TMZ Sports, 35-year-old ex-Longhorns quarterback Vince Young was arrested for DWI in Fort Bend County (TX) on Monday morning.
This is Young’s second arrest for a drunk driving incident within a three-year span. He was arrested for a DUI while driving dangerously in Austin back in 2016. Young was sentenced to 18 months probation after pleading no contest in the case.
According to police reports and one source familiar with the case, Young was pulled over around 4 AM. Records show he was booked into Fort Bend County Jail but posted bond and was released.
This time Young will likely serve a more serious punishment, as a second DUI within five years can result in a mandatory install of ignition lock and jail time.
A 2nd DUI can mean up to 1 year in jail and up to $4K in fines. If 2 within 5 years, mandatory install of ignition lock. https://t.co/iutHR7ckC5
