The Texas Longhorns have stated that their goal is to compete for conference and national championships and the true run toward that begins on Saturday as they welcome the Oklahoma State Cowboys to Austin.

In spite of the positive trajectory over the last two seasons, Texas continues to struggle with Oklahoma State, dropping four straight against the Cowboys and seven of the last nine. In fact, the Longhorns haven’t beaten Oklahoma State in Austin since 2008.

The Cowboys boast one of the nation’s top offenses, led by both the NCAA’s leading rusher in Chuba Hubbard and the NCAA’s leading receiver in Tylan Wallace.

Texas head coach Tom Herman addresses the media ahead of the pivotal matchup.
