Exactly two months after announcing his intentions to take an official visit to see the Texas Longhorns, LSU Tigers running back commit Nick Brossette announced the date for that visit via Twitter on Sunday night:
I'll be taking my Texas OV Jan. 17 and taking my LSU OV Jan. 23!!! 4⃣— Nicholas Brossette (@NBrossette) December 15, 2014
Brossette is a consensus four-star prospect rated as the No. 15 running back nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings and has been committed to the Tigers since late August.
Other than an official visit to Notre Dame in the middle of October, he hasn't take any other visits this fall and there are not currently any other plans to do so, which would seem to make it a three-team race for his services.
And the fact that he's already taken a visit to Austin would seem to bode well for the Longhorns -- his late-January trip won't be an introduction to the program, but merely a chance to spend more time with the coaches and see anything that he might have missed the first time.
Two predictions in the 247Sports Crystal Ball were made for Texas back in July after he visited.
After last week's decommitment from South Oak Cliff running back Jordan Stevenson, Texas may have run for two more running backs in the 2015 class. Rockwall's Chris Warren was in Austin on his official visit over the weekend.
