Longhorns Miss On Key In-State 2017 TE Target

A four-star 2017 Longhorns target recently announced his college decision and it wasn't Texas

The highest ranked tight end target on the Texas Longhorns 2017 radar, four-star Cy-Fair (TX) product Brock Wright, committed to Notre Dame over Texas, Alabama, LSU, Baylor and jut about every other major football program under the sun Friday afternoon.

It could go without saying that this is a big miss for the Longhorns, as once again, an elite in-state target is passing on the opportunity to not only play for Texas, but in the state of Texas in general.

The 6-foot-4, 243-pound Wright ranks as the No. 1 tight end in his class and the No. 57 overall player in the country.

As of now, Wright is a Fighting Irish commit, but don’t expect the Longhorns, nor any other program that was actively pursuing Brock to give up their recruiting efforts until a NLI is signed.
