The La Lumiere School (GA) product’s visit is scheduled for Sunday, and it’s vital that the 6-10, 230-pound center leaves Austin on a high note. Smart and his staff are yet to receive a 2016 commitment from a post presence, and with big men Cameron Ridley, Prince Ibeh and Connor Lammert all entering their final season of eligibility, the Longhorns simply have to find a way to place some talent down low.
Luckily for the Horns, Texas is considered the clear unanimous favorite to land the nation’s No. 6 center.
Banks also holds offers from Vanderbilt – which appears to be Texas’ greatest competition during this recruitment – Tennessee, Syracuse and Notre Dame, among numerous others.
