Sterns held 12 total offers, which included Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Michigan, Tennessee and TCU. As noted in his Tweet, Sterns said, “It’s always been my dream to get an education and play at the next level. And since I was young, it’s always been my dream to do that at LSU.”
Considering Orgeron’s reputation as an excellent recruiter and now that he’s solidified his position as the head coach, Sterns commitment isn’t much of a surprise.
Sterns ranks as the nation’s No. 4 safety and the No. 5 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
