The eyes of Texas have been upon Bishop Dunne High School Tuesday evening, as the new ‘Horns staff has extended its second offer of the night to a member of the Dallas area program. The latest offer was to four-star defensive tackle Calvin Avery.

The earlier offer was extended to 2019 safety Brian Williams, who called it, “a big deal.”
Avery added a Texas A&M offer on Monday and collectively, the 6’1, 310-pound lineman holds 13 offers, including Nebraska, Oklahoma and Baylor. He attended Texas’ Under the Lights camp during the summer, but was never offered by the previous staff under Charlie Strong.
Avery ranks as the nation’s No. 26 defensive tackle and the No. 41 player in the state.
