Tom Herman’s recruiting efforts have now extended to the Golden State, as the Texas Longhorns extended a Friday night offer to Los Angeles Cathedral wide receiver Jamire Calvin.

A four-star prospect, Calvin trimmed his list to a final four of Nebraska, Notre Dame, Washington and Alabama on December 10, though he’s yet and pick up an offer from the Crimson Tide. If Texas is to become of legitimate option, it will have to happen in a short amount of time during the dead period, as Calvin is set to announce his commitment during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio next month.
Calvin ranks as the nation’s No. 40 wide receiver and the No. 32 player in California, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
