The Texas Longhorns staff continues to pursue 2018 talent with Tuesday’s latest offer being extended to four-star athlete Jermaine Eskridge.

A prospect out of Tampa’s Jefferson High School, Eskridge has compiled offers from nearly every major program around the nation, including Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Florida State, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Oklahoma.
Eskridge committed to USF on July 28, but decommitted less than a month later on August 22. It’s quite possible that former Texas head coach Charlie Strong follows up with Eskridge now he’s the head coach at USF, which will only add stiffer competition for Herman and his staff’s hopes of luring the nation’s No. 14 athlete out of Florida. He was previously committed to Kentucky, as well, but backed out of his pledge in November 2015.
Eskridge ranks as the No. 34 player in Florida and the No. 215 player in the nation.
