Four-star Texas Longhorns quarterback commit and Austin native Sam Ehlinger is set to take his official visit to the 40 Acres this weekend, per multiple reports. The visit will come just weeks before Ehlinger graduates from Westlake and kicks off his college career as an early enrollee in January.
Ehlinger has been on campus at least a dozen times prior to his official visit, whether it be through school camps or unofficial visits. One such visit came last week with Ehlinger meeting with new Texas head coach Tom Herman.

Ehlinger missed much of his senior season due to various injuries, including his knees, finger and wrist, but he’s expected to be completely healthy upon his arrival at Texas.
Ehlinger ranks as the nation’s No. 3 dual-threat quarterback and the No. 15 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
