As expected, four-star Manvel safety Deontay Anderson committed to the Ole Miss Rebels over the Texas Longhorns and the LSU Tigers during a National Signing Day announcement via Bleacher Report:

Even though there is some turmoil facing the Rebel program that began in earnest on Anderson's official visit last weekend, he also looked bound for the SEC and Ole Miss had been the leader for some time.
Despite putting his decision off until National Signing Day, there was little uncertainty as to where Anderson would play his college ball, as Texas and LSU were essentially distant afterthoughts in the bigger Yale Blue and Crimson painted picture.
Texas and LSU each received respective official visits over the past three weekends.
Anderson ranks as the nation's No. 53 player overall, No. 2 safety, and No. 8 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
