Charlie Strong and the Texas Longhorns will host in important visitor this weekend, as four-star Lanier (Ga.) inside linebacker Tyler Taylor is set to visit the Forty Acres this weekend, per 247Sports.
Taylor, the nation's No. 10 inside linebacker and No. 33 player in Georgia, picked up a Texas offer in March, which was added to a lengthy list that includes Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, LSU, Auburn, and Georgia, the current frontrunner per his Crystal Ball, among numerous others. The Sooners are also considered a contender with one vote in his Crystal Ball ahead of a visit to Norman prior to his weekend trip to Austin.
Tennessee was the last school to host the 6'1, 213-pounder and may be in better shape with Taylor than home-state Georgia.
Texas linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary reportedly stopped by to watch the elite 2017 product practice last week and with Taylor now set to return the favor and visit Austin, the Longhorns have a huge chance to gain some steam in his recruitment.
