Texas 2017 LB target Kenneth Murray sets decision date

The Longhorns could be in for some good news in the coming months with a top linebacker target

Three-star Missouri City outside linebacker Kenneth Murray took to Twitter Thursday to announce a decision date:

The rising Texas Longhorns target picked up an offer May 25 and unofficially visited the Forty Acres June 11. Murray visited Texas A&M the same day. Following his visit to Austin, Murray raved to 247Sports about the campus and Charlie Strong.

"I think Texas is heading in the right direction as far as being great again. I don’t care about wins this season. I just want to see some overall improvement."

Despite being listed as a outside linebacker, Murray's versatility to provide him opportunities as inside linebacker and safety, as well. Murray plans to enroll early at whichever program he commits to.

Murray has always been high on the Longhorns and Texas will likely be among the last teams standing when the Houston-area linebacker commits. Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss are the biggest obstacles in the 'Horns pursuit of the nation's No. 60 outside linebacker.
