Two days after being released from his National Letter of Intent with Baylor, four-star offensive tackle JP Urquidez is headed down I-35 to see if the grass really is greener on the Forty Acres.

Urquidez was one of the five former Baylor signees to receive their release from the program Thursday and each are expected to be of interest to the Texas Longhorns. With only one remaining scholarship, it may become a matter of who gives Texas a pledge first, and with the Copperas Cove lineman filling a position of need while Patrick Hudson and Kameron Martin are visiting elsewhere, Urquidez may ultimately end up being the final piece of Texas' 2016 class.
At 6'5.5, 300 pounds, Urquidez ranks as the nation's No. 22 offensive tackle and No. 37 player in Texas. '
