Texas offers 5-star 2018 OLB Palaie Gaoteote

The Texas Longhorns are the latest to throw their name into the mix with five-star outside linebacker Palaie Gaoteote, as the elite product headlines a wave of Tuesday offers from Tom Herman and his staff.

A 2018 U.S. Army All-American, Gaoteote holds 24 offers including offers from Ohio State, USC, Notre Dame, Auburn, Colorado, Florida and LSU. The ‘Horns offer adds Gaoteote to a lengthy list of 2018 products ranked within the top 25 of the entire class that Texas will be actively pursuing in what will become Herman’s first full recruiting cycle in Austin.

A Bishop Gorman product out of Las Vegas, Gaoteote ranks as the nation’s No. 1 outside linebacker and the No. 15 player overall, per 247Sports Composite.
