Just days after it was reported that former Houston Cougars pledge would choose between the Texas Longhorns and Baylor Bears, the three-star linebacker once again elected to commit to Tom Herman and the staff that recruited him to Houston.

Bimage, an underrated prospect out of Brenham, decommitted from the Cougars on Dec. 23 after picking up respective offers from the Longhorns and Bears earlier in the month.
A hybrid pass-rusher prospect who played plenty of defensive end for Brenham, Bimage would be an intriguing prospect in Todd Orlando’s 3-4 defense. Hence, why the previous staff coveted his services at Houston.
The 6’3, 233-pounder plays with a tenacity and pursuit similar to Texas true freshman standout Malcolm Roach — another former three-star recruit.
Considering Texas owns an abundance of youth at what will become a pass-rushing linebacker in Todd Orlando’s 3-4 defense, bolstered by the unexpected early emergences of Malcolm Roach and Breckyn Hager, Bimage is a potential redshirt candidate, but don’t rule out the possibility that he’ll see reps in 2017.
In any case, he’s a tremendous long-term prospect and fits exactly what Herman and his staff sought after as they pieced together Texas’ 2017 class — underrated and overlooked talents with tremendous upside.
At 6’3, 233 pounds, Bimage ranks as the nation’s No. 25 inside linebacker and the No. 100 prospect in Texas. He becomes the 13th member of Texas’ 2017 class and the seventh to commit during the Herman era.
