One of the top 2019 wide receivers in the state is now officially on Tom Herman and his staff’s big board, as the Texas Longhorns offered elite Lake Travis product Garrett Wilson on Wednesday.

A four-star pass-catcher, Wilson holds 19 offers to date, with invitations coming from Oregon, Cal, Florida State, Tennessee, Ole Miss, TCU and Baylor, among others.
With Texas now joining that mix, the Longhorns will emerge as the perceived team to beat, as the ‘Horns already own all four of Wilson’s Crystal Ball projections. Wilson becomes the fifth high-level 2019 in-state wide receiver to pick up a Texas offer, joining Theo Wease, Jordan Whittington, Kam Brown and Arjei Henderson.
12 games into his junior season, Wilson has hauled in 72 receptions for 1,370 yards and 20 touchdowns as Lake Travis continues its playoff run.
A 6’0, 178-pound prospect, Wilson is ranked as the nation’s No. 144 player, No. 25 wide receiver and the No. 19 player in Texas, per the 247Sports Composite.
