Offensive line talent in the 2018 class remains a dire need, but that hasn’t prevented the Texas Longhorns from evaluating its options for the next cycle.

On Wednesday evening, the ‘Horns put an offer on the table for 2019 Saint Louis (Mo.) Lutheran North offensive tackle Jack Buford, according to a report for 247Sports.

A three-star prospect, Buford now holds nine offers, with Texas joining Florida, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri and Oklahoma.

Buford now becomes the fourth 2019 offensive tackle target to pick up a Texas offer, joining five-star LSU commit Kenyon Green, four-star Tyler Johnson and three-star Javonne Shepherd.

A 6'5, 290-pound prospect, Buford is ranked as the nation's No. 335 player, No. 38 offensive tackle and the No. 6 player in Missouri, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
