Just days after Texas signed much of its 2018 class, which features an elite haul at defensive back, the Longhorns put on offer on the table for Waxahachie safety Demani Richardson on Dec. 24.
My Christmas present came early! Blessed to say I have received an offer from my childhood dream school, The University of Texas! #HookEm #AGTG pic.twitter.com/A3g4ECE55y

A rising four-star prospect, Richardson spent his junior campaign as a two-way talent, recording three interceptions on defensive and offensively, Richardson rushed 45 times for 516 yards and seven touchdowns, along with hauling in 12 receptions for 286 yards and four scores.
As a result of that productivity, Richardson’s offer list now includes Texas, Georgia, TCU, Baylor and Missouri.
Although it’s still considerably early in his recruitment, each of Richardson’s two Crystal Ball projections favor Longhorns.
At 6’1, 190 pounds, Richardson is ranked as the nation’s No. 102 player, No. 6 safety and the No. 15 player in Texas, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
