Four-star South Grand Prairie safety Atanza Vongor traveled to Austin this weekend with a Texas Longhorns offer already in hand, though it was extended by the Charlie Strong and the previous coaching staff.
On Saturday, Tom Herman and the current regime, too, presented the high-level in-state product with an Longhorns offer, as first reported by Justin Wells of Inside Texas.

As a part of a junior day that featured no shortage of talent, Vongor served as one of the headliners, as evident in his top 15 ranking in the state.
To date, Vongor holds 19 offers from programs including TCU, Alabama, Clemson, Arkansas, Arizona State and Florida, among others.
The Dallas-area prospect is aiming for a decision within the next month in what’s expected to be between Texas and TCU. The ‘Horns may ned to get Vongor back on campus before his decision to assure they’re in the lead when it’s time for his decision.
Vongor ranks as the nation’s No. 132 player, No. 13 safety and the No. 15 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
