After reportedly coming close to adding an offer earlier this month during The Opening regionals in Dallas, DeSoto cornerback Gemon Green has finally picked up an offer from Tom Herman and the Texas Longhorns

A three-star prospect, Green, along with his brother German — also a cornerback — was on the Forty Acres last month for Texas’ junior day. Now that Gemon holds a Texas offer, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see German add an offer from the Longhorns, as well, but that’s still something that may be a few weeks away.
To date, Green holds 23 offers, including invitations from Oklahoma, Michigan, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Colorado and TCU among others. All four of Green’s Crystal Ball projections currently favor the Horned Frogs.
Green ranks as the nation’s No. 475 player, No. 42 cornerback and the No. 61 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
