A four-star prospect, Marshall pulled the trigger less than a full 24 hours after his visit to Baton Rouge for an LSU scrimmage, committing to the Tigers over a few handfuls of other major offers.
Among his 14 offers were Texas, Texas A&M, TCU, Oklahoma State and Oregon. Though the ‘Horns were among the favorites in his recruitment, virtually all of the momentum of late favored LSU, so his commitment doesn’t come as much of a surprise.
Hines now becomes commit No. 12 for an LSU class that ranks No. 4 nationally and tops the SEC.
Hines ranks as the nation’s No. 269 player, No. 16 offensive tackle and No. 33 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
