Considering what Dixon was able to do as a junior at Taylor County, the fact that his recruitment features some heavy hitters isn’t much of a surprise. In just 11 games, Dixon rushed 229 times for 1,914 yards and 35 touchdowns, per MaxPreps.
Among those have offered for his services include Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Minnesota, Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech and now Texas.
A Georgia native, it will likely be a tall order for Herman and the ‘Horns to lure Dixon out of state, or away from the grasp of many of the SEC programs currently pursuing him, so getting the 5’10, 185-pounder on campus in the near future will be key.
Dixon ranks as the nation’s No. 399 player, No. 24 running back and the No. 38 player in Georgia, per 247Sports Composite.
