In what’s quickly become a multiple offer afternoon, four-star Berkeley Prep (Fla.) offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere becomes the latest to pick up an offer from Tom Herman and the Texas Longhorns.
A 6’6, 260-pound prospect out of Tampa, Petit-Frere currently holds 24 offers from Power 5 programs across the nation, such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Ohio State, LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, USC and Penn State, among others.
After missing out on every 2017 offensive tackle prospect aside from three-star signee Samuel Cosmi, Texas has now offered six offensive tackle targets for the 2018 cycle. Now including Petit-Frere, four of such prospects are outside of The Lone Star State, with three-star prospects Rafiti Ghimai and Trey Stratford being the exceptions.
Petit-Frere ranks as the nation’s No. 58 player, No. 5 offensive tackle and the No. 14 player in Florida, per 247Sports Composite.
