Less than two weeks after taking part in the mass visit for the Texas Longhorns first junior days under Tom Herman, three-star Allen offensive tackle Trey Stratford is set for return unofficial visit to the Forty Acres on Thursday, according to EJ Holland of 247Sports.
Considered a Texas lean early in the process, Stratford entered his junior day visit as a target on commitment watch, and now making a return visit to Austin just weeks later, the same holds true.
Stratford has noted that he plans to make a commitment before his senior season so if the ‘Horns are unable to add their second 2018 pledge this week, Texas will likely, at the very least, hold firm as the team to beat throughout the next several months.
Collectively, Stratford currently holds 20 offers, which includes invitations from Baylor, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, TCU and UCLA.
After missing on a handful of key in-state offensive linemen targets during the 2017 cycle, expect the staff to continue prioritizing the Dallas-area prospect.
At 6’4, 270, Stratford ranks as the nation’s No. 531 player, No. 42 offensive tackle and the No. 68 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
