Texas among Top 10 for 4-star Missouri ILB Ayodele Adeoye

Can Texas do enough to ultimately outlast a host of SEC programs going forward?

St. Louis Ritenour (Mo.) inside linebacker Ayodele Adeoye began to narrow his recruitment focus on Friday evening by releasing his top 10 and the Texas Longhorns are among those that survived the cut.

Adeoye also named Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, South Carolina, Oklahoma and Illinois as the program’s he’s still considering at this point. Adeoye did note, though, that this top 10 is comprised of offers he currently has and this his recruitment is still open. Seven of the 10 teams Adeoye mentioned are members of the SEC.

Programs including Louisville, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss were among the schools that missed Adeoye’s cut.

The Longhorns offered Adeoye just weeks ago on April 25 and have quickly made enough of an impression to remain in consideration moving forward. To that end, it’s quite possibly the Longhorns staff urges Adeoye to travel south to Austin for a visit at some point during the summer to remain in contention, especially if they elect to prioritize him.

Adeoye ranks as the nation’s No. 130 player, No. 5 inside linebacker and the No. 3 player in Missouri, according to 247Sports Composite.
