The top-ranked 2019 running back in the state is now on Tom Herman and his staff’s radar after the Texas Longhorns offered Katy product Deondrick Glass on Tuesday.

A four-star prospect, Glass now holds 13 total offers with programs including Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State and Oklahoma among those vying for his services.
Considering what Glass accomplished as a sophomore, having some of the nation’s premier powers in pursuit is no surprise.
In 2016, Glass compiled 1,912 yards and 30 touchdowns on 184 carriers, which makes for a 10.4 yards per carry average, and again, this was as a sophomore. The Longhorns are heavily in the mix with Noah Cain, the nation’s top-ranked running back, but Glass boast nothing short of elite talent himself.
At 5’10, 190 pounds, Glass ranks as the nation’s No. 66 player, No. 4 running back and the No. 8 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
