One of the nation’s premier 2019 prospects is set for a return trip to the Forty Acres, as IMG Academy (Fla.) running back Noah Cain will visit Texas on Wednesday, according to a report from Horns247.
Burnt Orange Nation has confirmed that the four-star prospect formerly of Denton Guyer will be back in Austin this week after already making a pair of trips to campus this offseason. Cain visited LSU on Monday.
At this point, the Longhorns are considered the frontrunner for the IMG Academy transfer, although programs including LSU, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State and Oklahoma are in the mix, as well, among others.
While at Denton Guyer, Cain rushed for 1,683 yards and 22 touchdowns as a sophomore and has since seen his recruitment explode after being pegged as the nation’s No. 2 running back.
As expected, Texas will have no shortage of competition for his signature, but the Longhorns are currently in a great spot going forward; evident with Cain making his third trip to the Forty Acres since Tom Herman took over.
At 5’11, 207 pounds, Cain ranks as the nation’s No. 24 player and the No. 3 player in Florida, per 247Sports Composite.
