With 27 offers to choose from, Archbishop Rummel (La.) safety Aaron Brule has trimmed his list of options to just five finalists on Sunday, with Texas, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi State and TCU still in the mix.
Can't thank every one who has recruited me enough but...TOP 5, TOP 5, TOP 5. #GoDawgs #Jaycrew18 #Starkvegas #Longhorns #CarterBoys18 pic.twitter.com/g3JOmikDGH

A former Kansas commit, Brule backed out of his pledge to the Jayhawks on June 21 after his recruitment took off throughout the past few months. At the time of his May 4 offer from Texas, Brule had just 12 offers and that total has since more than doubled.
Arkansas, Arizona, Tennessee, Texas Tech and West Virginia are among the programs that didn’t survive Brule’s latest cut.
To date, TCU holds eight of Brule’s 10 Crystal Ball projections. Brule is scheduled to visit the Forty Acres next weekend, but with Texas picking up all three of its elite safety pledges since offering the Louisiana native, it doesn’t seem likely that the ‘Horns remain heavily involved going forward.
At 6’1, 210 pounds, Brule is ranked as the nation’s No. 492 player, No. 38 safety and the No. 20 player in Louisiana, per 247Sports Composite.
