Only three schools remain in the mix for Conroe Oak Ridge weak-side defensive end Joseph Ossai, who released a final list on Sunday afternoon consisting of Texas A&M, Notre Dame and the Texas Longhorns.
A four-star prospect, Ossai is widely expected to end up playing college football in College Station — the Aggies currently hold all 10 of his Crystal Ball projections. After losing Ron Tatum to Oklahoma, though, Ossai has become a priority for Texas and despite the momentum in Texas A&M’s favor, the ‘Horns are high on Ossai’s mind, who recently went on record to express the “genuine love” he feels from Tom Herman and Texas.
Expect Texas to intensify its push even further following the dead period.
As a junior, Ossai racked up 46 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and three forced fumbles.
At 6’4, 217 pounds, Ossai ranks as the nation’s No. 214 player, No. 10 weak-side defensive end and the No. 26 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
