Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze unexpectedly resigned from the program today following a “pattern of conduct” and the immediate aftermath brought forth a decommitment from Houston Madison cornerback Bobby Wolfe, according to multiple reports.
Madison (TX) '19 CB Bobby Wolfe (@iambobbywolfe1) has decommitted from #OleMiss. A #Texas offer could be coming soon.

A three-star prospect, Wolfe committed to Ole Miss on May 28, at which time he considered the Rebels his dream school. Dream school or not, a pending NCAA investigation and now the immediate resignation of Freeze complicated things for the Rebels recruiting effort with the Houston native.
As far as Texas is concerned, Wolfe visited the Forty Acres on Wednesday and although he wasn’t offered while in Austin, the growing expectation is that the Longhorns will offer in the very near future. Wolfe is expected to emerge as one of the top 2019 prospects in the state.
In addition to Ole Miss, Wolfe currently holds offers from LSU, Bowling Green, Louisiana-Lafayette, Prairie View A&M and Tulsa.
A 2019 prospect, Wolfe is ranked as the nation’s No. 339 player, No. 27 cornerback and the No. 59 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
