The Texas Longhorns put an offer on the table for yet another out-of-state prospect on Thursday evening, with 2019 Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) running back Daniel Carter receiving an invitation to play college football in Austin.

A four-star prospect, Carter hold 27 total offers to date, with programs such as Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Auburn, Georgia and LSU in the mix, among others. Although Texas has now offered, the Longhorns priority at the position in 2019 is IMG Academy product Noah Cain.

In two games this season, Carter has totaled 147 yards and one touchdown on 23 carries.

The 5-foot-11, 196-pounder is ranked as the nation’s No. 216 player, No. 16 running back and the No. 37 player in Florida, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
