Houston North Shore product Zachary Evans, the nation’s top-ranked 2020 running back, will be visiting the University of Texas this weekend. He will get to see the new highly-rated No. 9 Texas Longhorns in action on Saturday afternoon when the Horns welcome the Baylor Bears.

Evans unofficially toured numerous times throughout the offseason, including for the April 21 for the spring game, which marked his fourth visit on campus over the offseason.

Evans currently possesses 36 offers from around nearly ever prominent program from around the country. Back in September, he listed his Top 25 schools which included the likes of Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and other prominent programs. Through eight Crystal Ball predictions, the Longhorns and Aggies each hold three predictions with LSU holding the other two.

Listed at 5’11 203-pounds, Evans is a composite five-star recruit and is listed as the No. 2 ranked player nationally.

The numbers speak for his high rating. As a sophomore, Evans rushed for 1,483 yards on 184 attempts (8.1 YPC) and added 270 receiving yards on just 12 receptions. On top of those numbers, he ran a 4.51 40-yard dash, 3.91 shuttle, and posted a 34-inch vertical back in February. Evans displays tremendous vision, balance, and burst as the nation’s top back.
