An athletic edge rusher who also plays tight end, Ugwoegbu now holds 18 total offers with programs such as Alabama, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, TCU, Tennessee and Houston in the mix, among others. A fast-rising prospect, Ugwoegbu’s offers from Oklahoma, Alabama and Texas Tech have each come within the past few days.
Texas now joins that list, as well.
Ugwoegbu becomes the sixth 2019 weak-side defensive end prospect to pick up a Texas offer and the second from Katy, joining four-star Katy Taylor product, Braedon Mowry.
At 6’5, 215 pound, Ugwoegbu is ranked as the nation’s No. 560 player, the No. 37 weak-side defensive end and the No. 73 player in Texas, per the 247Sports Composite.
