The Texas Longhorns latest offer was extended all the way across the country to versatile Detroit (Mi.) Cass Technical athlete, Jaren Mangham, he announced on Friday.

With Texas in the mix, Mangham is now up to 37 total offers, including invitations from Florida, Florida State, Michigan State, Oregon, Alabama, Texas A&M, Tennessee and UCLA, among others.
Although the Spartans currently hold 80 percent of Mangham’s Crystal Ball projections, his recruitment is one in which the Longhorns and Aggies can make a noticeable impact.
Currently residing in Detroit, Mangham is orginally from Spring, Texas, where he lived for 15 years prior to his move north. As noted in his Twitter announcement, Mangham’s grandmother attended Texas, and his mother later attended Texas A&M, where she ran track. Each of the two in-state recruiting powers have now provided Mangham with the opportunity to follow in either his grandmother or his mother’s footsteps as a running back or an outside linebacker.
He’ll visit Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor and TCU throughout the next week.
Mangham doesn't have a preference on which position he plays at the next level.
A four-star prospect, Mangham is ranked as the nation’s No. 263 player, No. 22 athlete and the No. 8 player in Michigan, per the 247Sports Composite.
