The Texas Longhorns aren’t limiting their recruiting interests to just the continental United States.
On Friday, Tom Herman and his staff extended their latest offer to Maninoa Tufono, an elite inside linebacker prospect out of Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou.

With Texas in the mix, Tufono now holds 22 offers from various programs around the nation, including Oregon, USC, Washington, UCLA, Notre Dame, Nebraska and Florida, among others. Having extended an offer to Tufono, each of Texas’ three 2019 inside linebacker targets hail from outside of the state lines, as the Hawaii native joins Marrero (La.) John Ehret’s Donte Starks and Saint Louis (Mo.) Trinity Catholic product Shammond Cooper.
Tufono is ranked as the nation’s No. 111 player, the No. 4 inside linebacker and the No. 3 player in Hawaii, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
