4-star Louisiana CB Chester Kimbrough adds Texas offer

The rising New Orleans product now holds 20 offers with Texas jumping into the mix on Thursday.

Once again, Texas is looking to The Boot for some high-level talent.

That was evident on Thursday night, as the Longhorns extended an offer to New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton cornerback Chester Kimbrough.

Kimbrough’s latest offer from the Longhorns brings his total to 20, as he also holds invitations from Michigan, Mississippi State, Georgia, Alabama and Florida, among others.

However, despite the big-name programs involved in his recruitment, Kimbrough’s lone Crystal Ball projection favors Kansas, where he visited in January.

A rising four-star talent, half of Kimbrough’s 20 offers have come since the turn of the new year, including his offers from Alabama, Michigan, and Ole Miss. With Texas now joining that mix, Kimbrough joins elite Baton Rouge (La.) Dunham School product Derek Stingley as Louisiana cornerbacks with a Longhorns offer this cycle, and furthermore, he becomes the seventh out-of-state cornerback to add a Texas offer.

A 6’0, 162-pound prospect, Kimbriough is ranked as the nation’s No. 273 player, No. 24 cornerback and the No. 12 player in Louisiana, per the 247Sports Composite.
