One of the most coveted linebacker prospects in the nation can now add the Texas Longhorns to his lengthy list of potential suitors.

On Monday night, the Longhorns became the latest to extend an offer to Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco outside linebacker Spencer Lytle, he announced on Twitter.

A three star prospect with upwards of 40 offers to date, Lytle has received invitations from Notre Dame, UCLA, Clemson, Nebraska, TCU, Texas A&M and Wisconsin, among others. With the Longhorns jumping in the mix, Lytle joins teammate and five-star cornerback Chris Steele as St John Bosco products with a Texas offer this cycle.

A 6’3, 215-pound talent, Lytle totaled 77 tackles, seven tackles for loss and three sacks as a junior in 2017.

Lytle is ranked as the nation’s No. 492 player, No. 32 outside linebacker and the No. 58 player in California, per the 247Sports Composite.
