With 19 offers to date, Morris’ cut eliminated programs such as USC, TCU, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, Michigan and Georgia from contention, among others.
A four-star prospect, Morris recently visited Oklahoma for the Sooners Junior Day on Feb. 17 before touring Texas for the Longhorns Junior Day on Feb. 18. While in Austin, Morris met with Texas safeties coach Craig Naivar, who has been recruiting Morris dating back to his days at Houston.

Morris is currently scheduled to officially visit Oklahoma on April 13, and plans to officially visit Texas at some point during the spring, as well. At this point, LSU owns three of Morris’ five Crystal Ball projections with the other two favoring Oklahoma.
One of the top safety prospects in Texas, Morris totaled 40 tackles, seven pass breakups and two interceptions in 2017 and thus, became a unanimous first-team all-district selection.
A 6’2, 185-pound talent, Morris is ranked as the nation’s No. 272 player, No. 20 safety and the No. 34 player in Texas, per the 247Sports Composite.
