Another day, another elite prospect with the Texas Longhorns in their top group.
The latest example stems from coveted Saint Louis (Mo.) Trinity Catholic wide receiver Marcus Washington, who named the ‘Horns in his top six on Sunday, along with Oregon, Ohio State, Missouri, Georgia and Florida State.

Washington also holds offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, Auburn, Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State, among numerous others.
As far as Texas is concerned, the Longhorns were previously named in Washington’s early March top 10, as well, and although there’s very little public information regarding exactly how high his interest in the ‘Horns is, Texas is clearly making its presence felt. That said, Ohio State is currently considered the team to beat with all of his Crystal Ball projections favoring the Buckeyes. Now one of just six teams standing, look for the Longhorns to try to get Missouri product on campus at some point in the coming months ahead of Washington’s Aug. 7 commitment date.
Washington is ranked as the nation’s No. 9 wide receiver prospect and is ranked No. 59 overall, per the 247Sports Composite.
