The Texas Longhorns wave of offers continued on Thursday, with the latest invitation going out to rising 2020 Houston Austin dual-threat quarterback Malik Hornsby, he announced on Twitter.

Hornsby is currently unranked but his film and offer list tell the tale of a prospect who will be among the most coveted quarterbacks in the state before long. With Texas jumping into the mix, Hornsby now holds nine offers, with invitations stemming from Texas A&M, Tennessee, Arizona and Mississippi State, among others.
Hornsby now becomes the third 2020 quarterback to notch a Texas offer — all of which own the dual-threat label — as he joins five-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei gunslinger Bryce Young and local four-star Lake Travis product Hudson Card.
Following his sophomore slate, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Hornsby was honored as the District 24-5A Co-Offensive MVP, which followed up a freshman campaign in which he was named as the District 24-5A Offensive Newcomer of the Year.
