The top-ranked running back in the country is deep in the heart of Texas today.
Among a handful of elite running back prospects Texas is in pursuit of, Sanders is a former Alabama commit who’s currently favored to remain in Florida with the Gators. However, Sanders is open to leaving the state, as is Sanders’ teammate and arguably Texas’ top running back target, Noah Cain. The two have reportedly discussed playing together at the next level.
Texas is arguably the team to beat for Cain, and with Sanders taking time to tour the Forty Acres, the Longhorns may be set to generate some buzz to that end. Sanders is still considering the Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, and Florida State. As evident by his trip to campus, Texas is also in that mix, thanks in large part to Sanders’ belief in running backs coach Stan Drayton’s ability to develop talent.
A five-star prospect, Sanders is ranked as the nation’s No. 7 player and as the No. 1 running back in the country.
