The Texas Longhorns are a finalist for elite Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou inside linebacker Maninoa Tufono. On Wednesday, the four-star prospect announced his final five schools, and Texas is still standing, alongside USC, LSU, Washington, and UCLA.

The nation’s No. 5-ranked inside linebacker, Tufono was on the Forty Acres just weeks ago for the Longhorns Heat Wave pool party. He’s also made tours to UCLA, USC, Washington, Oregon, and Alabama in recent months. The Tide and Ducks, of course, weren’t able to do enough to land in Tufono’s top group.

Of those still standing, the Huskies are considered the favorite, as Washington currently holds all four of Tufono’s Crystal Ball projections. Tufono is aiming to announce his decision towards the end of the process.

One of just three uncommitted inside linebackers with a Texas offer, Tufono is ranked as the nation’s No. 96 player and as the No. 3 player in Hawaii, per the 247Sports Composite.
