With Texas jumping into the mix, Heimuli fields upwards of 25 offers, but he has already narrowed his focus considerably. On June 18, Heimuli announced his top eight, which featured Alabama, Washington, UCLA, TCU, Ole Miss, Oregon, Utah, and Nebraska.
With a Texas offer now in hand, Heimuli is one of just four uncommitted inside linebackers with an invitation from the Longhorns, along with Maninoa Tufono, Shammond Cooper, and David Gbena. With the Longhorns yet to land an inside linebacker this cycle and bearing in mind his proximity as a California native, expect four-star Westlake (Calif.) Village outside linebacker and Texas pledge De’Gabriel Floyd to help the ‘Horns in this recruitment.
As a junior, Heimuli totaled 93 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, six sacks, and eight quarterback hurries.
Listed at 6’2, 225 pounds, Heimuli is ranked as the nation’s No. 344 player, No. 13 inside linebackler, and as the No. 43 player in California, per the 247Sports Composite.
